What was that?
Global Game Jam (GGJ) is an annual event that brings together enthusiasts from around the world to create games within a short span of time. It’s known as the world’s largest game creation event, where participants, called ‘jammers’, collaborate to develop new games based on a central theme revealed at the start of the jam. The event encourages creativity, experimentation, and learning in game development within a safe and welcoming environment.
Roots
The foundational concept for our team was to create a ‘fighting tree simulator’. We drew inspiration from the retro aesthetics of Mortal Kombat, particularly its music and user interface, as well as the functionality depicted in the movie Tron. This fusion of elements gave birth to our game project. We dedicated roughly two days to develop this working prototype.

I participated as the Art Lead—the one with the cool bald head look. However, we could not have completed the prototype without our dedicated team: Jokūbas Bernotas, Danas Bernotas, Emilija Dirsytė, Danielė Gavėnaitė, Paulius Jazauskas, Simonas Kuzmickas, Paulius Jazauskas and Margarita Valionyte.”
